Be Modern is a project curated by Cinzia Ferara and Monika Unger, both architects, passionate and knowledgeable collectors of mid Century Design.
Be Modern is committed to conserve and promote 20th Century design heritage through initiatives that include exhibitions, presentations, press activities and research.
In our activity we encourage the collaboration with museums, art galleries and other dealers in order to share an original point of view about modernist style.
We offer our clients not only high quality timeless design pieces but also full consultancy in art direction, interior architecture and decoration.

Our collection Be Modern is a leading provider of unique 20th century design pieces and interior design consultancy. We exhibit important objects from internationally renowned modernist designers. Of special interest is our collection of Brazilian iconic furnishings from the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Our Brazilian collection comprises extraordinary and unique pieces by designers such as Jorge Zalszupin, Joaquim Tenreiro and Sergio Rodrigues. These pieces well represent Brazil’s rich 20th Century design heritage and the unique architectural and creative Brazilian experience of the 1950ies and 1960ies.
Our extensive European collection focuses on work by renown Scandinavian designers from mid century such as Hans Wegner, Arne Vodder, Grete Jalk, Verner Panton and Finn Juhl. We offer more than 200 pieces comprising important furnishings as well as original Danish fabrics and accessories. Our Scandinavian design pieces show the minimalistic creativity and quality of wood work, typical of the mid-century designers and architects.
Our lighting collection comprises extraordinary Italian chandeliers by Stilnovo, Mazzega and Arteluce as well as Danish pendants and table lamps by designers such as Jo Hammerborg and Louis Poulsen.
We also offer a large collection of vintage Tribal rugs: Berber rugs from Morocco and Tulu rugs from Anatolia (Turkey).
